Winter Wedding Decorating Ideas

Who loves winter? I do! Winter is a fabulous time for a wedding. The best kept secret about winter weddings is that mid-January through mid-March is the down time for this industry. What that can mean to you, is that if you happen to enjoy winter, you can find venues and vendors with open calendars and a desire to do business (and at a good price!). We personally saved thousands of dollars by having our daughter’s wedding in February instead of October, and it was absolutely beautiful. Just last week we had the most gorgeous snowfall at a January wedding and the pictures are going to be magical. Evergreens aren’t just for Christmas, they make beautiful garlands and centerpieces, and depending on how they are done don’t have to look at all like Christmas. Pinecones are everywhere in Colorado; and dusted with either glitter or faux snow, make everything sparkle. Add a few candles and you have a winter wonderland.

LOVED IT!!! Look at these fun cupcake place cards! The bride had her guests select their favorite flavor choice on the RSVP card and then she used those to mark places. I thought they were cute, and the guests loved them (really:)). They still had a traditional wedding cake and plenty of delicious food, and so the cupcakes were a true favor to take home…well, except for a few kids that just couldn’t help themselves!
