Audrey Hepburn was the inspiration for Bonnie and Jake’s wedding, and it was truly fun. This final Saturday evening in August was delightful in Manitou Springs. We had a gorgeous sunset, with Pikes Peak towering right behind us, complete with roaming deer, much to the delight of all of the guests. Some of those iconic details associated with “Breakfast at Tiffany’s” were the little black dresses that the girls wore, pearls, and of course, tiffany blue. Just classic. To compliment Bonnie’s love of old movies and Audrey Hepburn, she fell in love with a bit of a classic Colorado cowboy. It turned out that Jake, his brother, and his Dad are all professional auctioneers. After a delicious dinner and cocktails on the lawn, it turns out that there was a bit of unfinished business that was yet to be handled. In Jake’s family, the groom auctions off his bride for the first dance, and then the groom’s family auctioned him off for the next one. Talk about the guests going wild! We’re not talking $20’s or $50’s; use your imagination, and suffice it to say that both Bonnie and Jake were in quite the demand. So congrats, “hat’s off” and “I’ll raise that bid” to Bonnie and Jake. Thank you to TMDxter Photography for a job well done to capture a night to remember.
